Ivano-Frankivsk region will get the largest investment in the history of the area. German company Leoni AG will build a factory in Kolomyja, Ivano-Frankivsk region. This was reported by Dmitry Romaniuk on his Facebook page, the head of the department of European integration and development of tourism of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration.
It will create 8,150 new jobs. This is a huge event for Ukraine and the largest investment in the history of the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
According to Dmitry Romaniuk, the new plant will be built in 2017 (€15 million first stage investment). About 800 employees will be recruited in a year, and by 2021, the number of employees will increase up to 8,150 people.
This is an excellent example of a “European-Carpathian Initiative” platform work and a signal to future investors about the investment attractiveness of Ukraine and the Carpathian region (Prykarpattya).
Recall, the German company Leoni AG has already created 6,000 jobs in the Lviv region. LLC Leoni Wiring Systems UA GmbH is based on the wholly-owned group Leoni AG (Nuremberg, Germany) in Ukraine, and located in the village Nezhuhov, Stryi district, Lviv region. The company operates since July 15, 2003. The plant, which was built in record time – 11 months, produces automotive cables and wiring systems. Accessories come mainly from Germany, France, Spain, Great Britain, while the finished products are sent to Germany, Belgium, Great Britain and Poland.
