Ukrainian State Aviation Enterprise Antonov has signed a contract with an American company Honeywell International Inc. USA company will provide on-board electronic systems for the new aircraft An-132 for 17.7 million dollars, informs 112.international.
Under the contract, avionics system Primus Epic 2.0. will be installed in the aircraft. The deadline of the contract is October 20, 2017.
It was reported previously, that at the end of February Antonov signed a cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia company Taqnia Aeronautics on joint manufacture of transport aircraft An-132, An-148 and An-178 in Saudi Arabia.
An assembly of the first An-132D takes place at the facilities of “Antonov” in Kyiv. Currently the company has completed mounting the wings and nose fuselage for the An-132.
According to “Antonov”, a market demand for aircraft An-132 is about 900 planes for the next 20 years.
Antonov State Company is a Ukrainian aircraft manufacturing and services company. Antonov’s particular expertise is in the fields of very large aeroplanes and aeroplanes using unprepared runways. Antonov (model prefix An-) has built a total of approximately 22,000 aircraft, including transport, passenger planes and planes for special purposes. Antonov’s planes (design office prefix An) range from the rugged An-2 biplane (which itself is comparatively large for a biplane) through the An-28 reconnaissance aircraft to the massive An-124 Ruslan and An-225 Mriya strategic airlifters (the latter being the world’s heaviest aircraft with only one currently in service). Among the most prominent aircraft of the company are An-32, An-148, An-158, An-74, An-124, An-70 and An-225.
