Ukrainian athlete Ganna Rizatdinova won the gold medal at Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup, held in Budapest, Hungary. It was reported by the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
Ukrainian gymnast became the first in ribbon. Ganna’s result is 18.550.
Yesterday, Ganna Rizatdinova also won silver in clubs. Her result is 18,450.
Ganna Rizatdinova started to train gymnastics in Simferopol and was coached by her mother Oksana Rizatdinova. She was born in Simferopol, Crimea but since 2011 the gymnast lives in Kyiv. Roughly three month after the March 2014 annexation of Crimea by Russia Ganna stated (on 24 June 2014) she was “outraged” and found the annexation to be “unpleasant and terrifying” because she did believed “How can Crimea be Russia?”. She also vowed never to compete for Russia.
